Attempting to load a 64-bit application, however this CPU is not compatible with 64-bit mode.

Trying to set up a VM(2.0) running windows 2008 64 bit and got below error.

* Windows 2008-64 fails to install with an error message in the guest operating system:

Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause.
To fix the problem:
1. Insert your windows installation disc and restart your computer.
2. Choose your language settings and then click next
3. Click repair the computer

If you do not have this disc, contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistance

Other 64bit virtual machines are successfully installed, like Solaris 10R5-64, Fedora Core6-64.

Solution: Have to enable Virtualization from Bios.
Boot in to BIOS and look for this option. Either under Config or Security/Advanced.
